Kaimahi for Nature is a programme of partnership between Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke & Living Springs.
Its goals are in pursuit of environmental conservation, preservation and restoration. It is an example of partnership that prioritizes and acknowledges the need for climate change practices to ensure the preservation of the most important taonga for our survival – our environment.
WHAKA-ORA HEALTHY HARBOUR
The Whaka-ora Healthy Harbour Plan is a partnership agreement between Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke, The Lyttelton Port Company, Christchurch City Council, Environment Canterbury & Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu. This kaupapa supports the monitoring and development of better ecological outcomes within Whakaraupō Lyttelton Harbour. It is a plan that weaves mātauranga Māori and science together for the benefit of future generations.
