Te Hapū o Kāti Wheke

Te Rāpaki o Te Rakiwhakaputa more commonly known as Rāpaki is located in Banks Peninsula wedged between Whakaraupō and the mountain Te Poho o Tamatea.

Rāpaki is home to Te Hapū o Kāti Wheke, situated on the Banks Peninsula and part of one of four papatipu runaka located in the area. A new wharenui named Wheke is situated in the pā where the hapū, iwi history and traditions is recorded through the carvings and tukutuku panels. The marae is the heart of the Rāpaki community and the people and share the stories of the tipuna of the Rāpaki people.
